DAY 52

Appleton, Wisconsin
June 5, 2009
Fri 12:46 AM

body still on pacific time, absolutely wide awake at the moment... but i gotta force myself and at least attempt some sleep seeing as how i have to drive to milwaukee tomorrow and work. ugh, work. vacation is much better i think. today i brought chinese food to my mom's work, to the appreciation of all the staff, purchased a gold's gym membership (VIP membership) and mowed the lawn. a good day in any book, because i actually accomplished stuff. stuff that i intended to do. my goal is monday when i get back to appleton to start cleaning and organizing my room. i'm doing a big re-organization, and that requires me to first clean it, and i think i can get rid of a lot of this stuff as well. i'll make four piles- stuff i'm keeping, stuff i can toss, stuff that can go to goodwill, and stuff that might have some monetary value to others (like old textbooks) and could potentially be sold on ebay. yeah, sounds like a good plan.

so, there's that. and i played my new ufc video game again today. my pal Skyscraper and I first tried it out yesterday, it's fun. i don't know how to do any of the stuff on the ground, but i rock at knocking people out. but as soon as i get taken down, it's over. which is what would probably happen in a real fight anyway, and i did try to model my created fighter after myself... that is if i were a guy. the cool thing is you can customize everything, down to scars on the face. you can tell my fighter is representative of, well, me, because he has a scar over his left eyebrow, just like i do. i thought that was pretty sweet that i could add that... i also added some tattoos for good measure, not that i actually have any. i was thinking of getting one while i was in PB, because everyone has tats over there. i decided a good one would be a palm tree on the right side of my back, that way it's there, but wouldn't be seen. maybe that can be my souvenir next time i go visit Q. i only bought three this trip- my new dodgers cap, a california license plate and an old fallout shelter sign (figured those two things would look nice on my wall, it was that or a sign that said "Beach closed due to shark attack"... maybe that's a sign for next time). the hat i wore on the airplane, and the license plate and sign were flat and fit perfectly on top of my baggage. again, pro traveler buying the flat souvenirs. tattoo would also be a good souvenir from a packing point-of-view, not hard to carry that on a plane. yeah, a palm tree, i'd like that. i like palm trees. have i mentioned this before?

pretty sure i have, i also think this would be a good idea for next time, because hopefully next time i'm in great shape and a tattoo would accent my hard bod. right now, if a got a tat, i would not show anybody and i would be afraid it would warp or something if (and when) i lose weight. i think it's also cool to get a tattoo someplace other than the crappy tattoo shop down the road. not making any judgements on tattoo shops in appleton, i'm sure there are fine ones, i just think i'd be cooler to get one in a fun place. like getting a palm tree done in san diego, and a dragon in japan. that would be nice, i think i'm gonna do that... note to self, get dragon tattoo done in japan. who am i kidding, make a note, i've been thinking of this for awhile. what other region specific tattoos could i get done??? dice in vegas perhaps? eh, no... has to be something i'd really want to get, palm tree and dragon yes... dice i could do without. but it would be appropriate. maybe a tattoo of a king/jack, as in the face cards. that's my starting hand in hold 'em poker... if i'm in the hand and there's a king and a jack on the board, fold, you never know if i'm holding that hand, and i always play it. Always. doesn't matter if someone goes all in big, if i'm holding that hand i cannot fold, cannot. it's an illness, i know, but, i'm not the poker pro of the family, that would be my mother, i'm the impulsive one. impulsive at times, i can be a good player when i focus and care. it's just rare that those two things occur at the same time. but, that's a luxury when you only play free games.

i feel like there's more i want to talk about... not now. now is time for sleep.
