just watching the West Wing, there was a big sale at work so I bought the first four seasons, the really good ones when Aaron Sorkin was writing, before he got the boot for getting caught taking funny mushrooms to las vegas. such a great show. working where i do, for me, is like being an alcoholic working at a liquor store... bad for business. but, still a great show. reminds me of one of the original reasons i went to GW, i thought i might want to go into political science. ha, that makes me laugh now. how naive i was. politics isn't a glamorous, idealistic television show. besides, coming of age during the bush administration is enough to kill any notion that the business of politics can be a worthy and honorable career choice. those eight years made me such a pessimist when it comes to politics that i couldn't even get excited about obama... the guy that the entire country got excited about. don't get me wrong, i voted for the guy, glad that i was able to cast my first ever presidential vote for the winner... but all this optimism, We Can... that was all lost on me. and i don't get why some people are so secretive about who they vote for. i voted for obama, the guy that won, even if i had voted for the loser i'd still say so.

anyway, i forgot how much i loved this show, i used to watch it every wednesday night (that's when new episodes aired) with my mom after i'd get home from confirmation. if i had to pick, i'd say leo is my favorite character, but i also like the president and cj.

tomorrow, work... again. then drive back to appleton, but first, a stop off at my favorite hangout to hang out with Brass. haven't seen her in awhile, something to look forward to after work. but it was cold out today, wish i had brought a jacket with me... what can i say, my body is in wisconsin but my mind is still out in southern california. i literally have only the clothes i brought to milwaukee with me, so that means i can either go to bww wearing my work clothes, or i can change into the guns n' roses shirt and boardshorts i brought along. great options.

and i had to re-read some of my old posts today, couldn't remember if i had assigned Brass a codename yet... apparently i had, i mentioned her Day 6, i think. i need to make a list or something, i thought i could keep everyone straight in my head. and i decided i need to tag posts, so i can go back and easily keep track if i've discussed certain topics before. i'll start doing that today, i can post "west wing" and "gw" and I think that's it. nothing else really worth tagging. i'll tag the rest of my older posts next week when i have down time at home. i should really get some sleep, i work earlier tomorrow and i have some stuff i want to pack up before i go. till then.
