no longer in milwaukee, appleton is my destination of the day. just got here about 45 min. ago. great drive at night in the rain. the one downside of my car is the headlights are very weak, and my windshield wipers- they do more harm than good. first they wipe the water up so you can't see, then they smear it... i didn't turn them on. honestly, it makes it worse. something to put on my list of things to get, new wipers.
rather uneventful day today, got up, packed, took the bus to my sister's work so she could give me a ride to my job and then meet me there so we could head right to appleton. funny thing though, walking to her job i came across a woman with her child on a leash, and the child looked to be about four. no kidding. i just thought to myself, man, sorry kid, i'm embarrassed for the both of us right now. how degrading for your child is that? and the kid leash was, no joke, about two feet long. what's the point of that? hello, just hold your kids hand, its like a built-in leash.
then i walked into her place of residence and had time to kill, and i saw a sign that said complimentary 30 min. facial. i thought, what the hell, i like nice skin. yeah, complimentary facial if you buy two items... you know how much skin care stuff costs? boy did i get suckered, and my free 30 min. facial was really an 8 minute facial that cost me about $70 worth of cream and toner i doubt i'll actually use. now, just now typing out how much i spent, i'll make sure i do use it. at least the ladies at the counter were nice... i'm such a sucker.
off to work, where time actually went quick for once. and i schedule my break perfectly to see the end of the caps-pens game... my team lost. now the series is tied 2-2. hey, tomorrow nights game is in DC though. C'mon Caps! I have a feeling this series is going to go to seven games... again. geez capitals, can't you win in less than seven?
after work my sis came with my car and we drove back... and she brought me popeyes! mmm, their chicken is the best. we ate those little biscuit sandwich things, which are tasty, but crumble all over. i had so many crumbs on my seat when i got out... and my car, unlike my room at home or my apartment, is immaculately clean. i guess that's cause i park it outside and i don't want anyone to steal anything. no, that's not true. even when i park at home my car is insanely clean. i just hate dirty, messy cars. even if i am usually the only one in it.
oh, and we watched the daily show last night and they were showing clips of the president of pakistan. apparently he's in the u.s. to ask for more money, because the $10 billion we gave them in the first place wasn't enough. we wanted them to use the money to fight off the taliban (who are now less than a hundred miles from islamabad) but instead they used the money to beef up defenses against india... our ally, the largest democracy in the world. c'mon pakistan, dude, don't worry about india, worry about the crazies in your own country, that's where you should be spending your money. i know you hate india, but let it go, take care of the taliban first please. remember, the nuclear weapons you created to counter india's nuclear weapons... yeah, those. don't let the taliban or other nutballs get ahold of them. please.
it's funny, the pakistani president assured that his army is up to the task of handling the taliban, but yet he still asked for more money. sooo, you have this under control, but you still want an allowance? and when asked what he'd use the money for he said, that's up to the united states, they can decide what we need. soooo, your army is fine, but you want money, but you won't tell us what you need... we can pick? what the f*ck! make up your mind. man, i would not wanna be president. can you imagine dealing with countries like this? dealing with countries this insane is like trying to reason with a kindergartener... you can't do it. you can't reason with them, they don't understand. then you give them the billions of dollars and are surprised when they blow it all on candy they don't need. dammit pakistan, get your act together! stop worrying about india, i know you're obsessed and hate them a lot... but think about it, they have a billion people. A BILLION. What can you possibly do to defend against or defeat that? Nothing. if you want to spite india, then take that money and train your cricket players really really well to beat them on the pitch. i think you'd even enjoy that better than nuking them. and so would the rest of the world.
here's an article on the subject... i know it's good to encourage democracy around the world, but maybe, just maybe, we need to stop giving them money until they make good decisions first. the way it goes now is, they promise to do the right thing, if we give them money, and then they fuck up and then they ask for more money to do the right thing they didn't do in the first place. see how this is a vicious cycle? maybe i'm wrong on this one, read the article and decide for yourself.

ignore the fact that the article is from the times of india... it's very non-biased in my opinion.
tomorrow should be a fun day... hoping the capitals can retake control of this series.
