almost forgot to blog today... oops. no matter, here it is. nothing exciting today, study for final... final... little caesar's pizza. not too shabby. although, i'm pretty sure i ate too much pizza... but it's only five bucks, you can't go wrong. ugh... yes you can, and now my stomach is making me pay for that. no matter. pretty excited, switched shifts next week so i can go to six flags. YAHOOO! should be a blast. i promised my sister i'd do my best to win her a Homer. If I don't, I'm pretty sure she'll envy me for the rest of my life. I got him last time i went to six flags, my senior year in high school.

it was great, not too busy, except my friend Pike and I learned the hard way that there's a reason why you don't ride Batman three times in a row. there are always empty, single seats, so we kept getting off and getting right back on. now normally roller coasters don't make me sick, but riding them continuously for about five minutes sure did the trick. when we got to six flags i first saw the Homer doll, it's a stuffed Homer about three feet tall, a good size. I knew I had to have it, but Skyscraper convinced me that I didn't want to drag it around all day. He was right. But near the end we found ourselves between Raging Bull and The Viper, right where the squirt gun game to win the Homer was located. I knew I must have it, it was made for me. Here's how it went...

Me: I want that Homer

Attendent: You need someone to play against.

Me: Skyscraper sit down, here's five bucks, play with me

... I win. and they give me a stupid monkey thing, you know how those carnival games always work, they attract you with the big prize, but you have to play more than once to get it. It's quite a nice little scam, but i was willing to play along for the Homer

Me: Ok, I have to play again?
Attendent: Yes.

Me: Fine, here's my five, and here's his five

... I win again (not that it mattered if i won or not, I was paying Skyscraper to play, and it's not like he needed a three-foot tall Homer like i did, but i was on such an adrenaline kick, there was no way i was losing, i smoked him both times.)
Attendent: Do you want the Bart or the Homer.

Me: The Homer, here's the monkey.

Attendent: You can keep the monkey.

Me: I don't want the monkey, I want the Homer.
Skyscraper: You can have both.

Me: I don't want the stupid monkey, I just want the Homer.

Skyscraper's girlfriend: I want the monkey.

Me: Here you go.

... Attendent finally gets down Homer and gives to me...

I am the happiest person in the world.

ok, maybe that wasn't word for word how it happened, but its pretty close. walking back to the bus everyone was jealous, and laughing, cause they knew that i had to have that Homer. In fact, I was actually wearing my simpsons Mr. Sparkle shirt that day too. I held onto him the entire way home, and when I walked in the house my sister screamed... she was so jealous. He's the best thing to ever have in a dorm room, bedroom, apartment... the consumate roommate. i change his hats occasionally, sometimes he works at In 'N Out Burger, sometimes he's Bedouin Homer, at GW he was Colonial Homer with a tri-hat. Right now he's a Caps fan.

that's not the greatest picture of him, but it gives the general idea. when i drive home from school, homer sits in the passenger seat next to me. he is tall enough that his head is up on the headrest, and let me tell you, i get some crazy looks. i thought about driving in the carpool lane, but decided against it. in milwaukee it's not even worth it anyway. so, that is my mission, get my sister her own Homer. I even have a Homer in my bathroom, I call him bathroom Homer. He's in a towel (hence the reason to be on my bathroom counter) and he sings and dances. i gotta say, of all the things i own, my Homer is up near the top of my favorites. Mainly because he's so unique, I mean, I love my PS3, but the Homer, you can't just get that anywhere. and believe me, I've looked online, he doesn't exist.

that's it, gonna put some more songs on my walkman, i'd like to get most on there before i go to california.
