so, another good day in San Diego... i gotta admit, it's pretty hard to have a bad day when you're on vacation, especially vacation in Southern California. got off to a later start than i originally intended, i can firmly say i am established in the Pacific time zone because i slept till ten this morning. then, i worked on an important email, had to get that down right. watched the beginning of the UEFA Champions League final... i know, soccer. i admit, i am merely a casual soccer fan... the term "casual" might even be too strong to describe me, but since i own a Man U jersey I figure I should try to feign interest. Caught the end of the game at a bar down on ganett, i think it was called RT's or something. Nice place, had some good tacos and a Newcastle (if i'm watching and cheering an English soccer team, I should drink a good English beer). Here's a tip, if you want to get a quick buzz, make the first thing you consume in a day a strong English ale. that sure did the trick, although, the taco combo and two glasses of water shortly thereafter quickly sobered me back up.

walked down along ganett back to the beach, but it was overcast all day, well, overcast for San Diego standards, still wonderful outside. Went to a souvenir shop, picked up a california license plate- that'll look good on my wall back home. Then stopped in a nice fight shop i walked past yesterday, good variety of merchandise, fully stocked. wish i could buy almost everything in there.

then, back to Q's place, she got back from work earlier than yesterday so we watched Hamlet 2 and I cooked my famous McCormick seasoning chicken with red potatoes and rosemary (and for the first time i used fresh rosemary. It turned out really good, I'm glad because i'm used to just cooking game hens and not whole chickens. I let it cook for two hours, it was completely cooked through and still very juicy.

still sad thinking that my pub burned down, well, not down, just burned. i read that the estimated damage is $300,000. oh well, can't let it get to me on vacay. tomorrow i hope for a sunny day versus overcast, but i'm on vacation, and i'm in san diego, so i'll take what i can get.
